Something that struck me in this book was the brutal honesty of the day's log. I wonder how many times we've had a wonderful day on the stream but have the sum of the log read "caught one 8" brownie". The honesty extended deep in to the book and into Keith's personal life that was extremely refreshing, especially in these days where truth seems to be in rare commodity. We cast our own bamboo fishing rod (and justified why) right along with Keith as he explores and tries to find himself in the act of fly fishing. Keith is the kind of guy you would want to spend the day on the creek with and a nice cool one in town afterwards. A good read that I enjoyed.
