To be honest.... I was striper fishing in November when I started catching smallmouth bass off of the rocks. Beautiful fish. Hard fighting and good eating....

Jason's reply: Wow, those smallies look big, especially that one on the bottom of the photo. Trophy fish. Great job.

By the way, I included your picture on my smallmouth bass fishing page. I think it adds a nice dimension to the website.

For those of you that are curious about those striped bass that C.B. fishes for, you can see a few of them by checking out his photos and story about Barkley Dam, Ky. Striper fishing from the rocks!!!

It's obvious why you fish there at that damn place. There are some really nice quality fish there. The dam, the rocks, the current and the bait fish there makes for a perfect recipe for attracting them there.

Thanks again C.B. for sharing your fishing photos an stories. Good luck out there on those Barkley Dam rocks.

Big Smallmouth Bass
by: Anonymous

Yeah, those smallmouth bass are nice. The colors on them are just beautiful.

@Anonymous: If you follow the other link posted there by Jason about "Barkley Dam, Ky. Striper fishing from the rocks!!!" and read his story real quick, he states that he was using a jig to catch those striped bass. So, I only assume that is what he must have been using to catch these smallmouths...

Is that true C.B.?

Jigs
by: C. B. Pritchard

Yes. Jigs are what I throw 90% of the time from the rocks. Thanks for the good comments!
